Who was in the room: CSU Board of Trustees attendance, November 2024 to July 2026
Every plenary day in the window, with each trustee marked present only if the Board's own approved minutes list them under "Trustees Present." The minutes never print an absent list, so a dash means "not listed as present," nothing more.
How to read this
The document shows: the names printed under "Trustees Present" for each open plenary day, taken from the minutes the Board approved at its next meeting. Committee days, closed sessions, the February 2025 retreat, presidential-search forums, and the April 2025 and April 2026 Committee on Committees meetings have no Board minutes, so they are not scored. September 22–23, 2026 is not scored because its minutes will not be approved until the Board's November 2026 meeting.
The record does not yet establish why anyone was absent, whether a trustee joined late or left early, or whether they attended committee sessions on other days. The Lieutenant Governor appears only on the second plenary day of each meeting; the Governor, Speaker, and Superintendent, also ex officio, are listed on none of the 22 days. Known inconsistencies inside the minutes are listed below the table.

What the minutes themselves get wrong
- Nov 21, 2024: the consent roll call names "Ghilarducci," who is not on that day's Trustees Present list.
- Jul 23, 2025: the consent roll call (16 in favor) names Adamson, who is not on that day's present list.
- Sep 10, 2025: the consent vote is reported as 15 in favor and 1 abstention, but the in-favor list has 17 names and includes the abstaining Lieutenant Governor.
- Nov 19, 2025: the consent vote (16 in favor) omits Nejabat, who is listed present.
- Mar 11, 2026: the resolution appointing the 2026–27 Committee on Committees names Steinhauser as Vice Chair, though he is not on that day's present list.
- Jul 2026 minutes, Agenda Item 1 title in the September packet, reads "Meeting of May 6, 2026 and May 6, 2026."
None of these change the matrix, which follows the present list only. They are listed because an attendance record that cannot be reconciled with its own roll calls is itself a finding about how the minutes are kept.
Roster changes visible in the record
- Trustee Emerita or Emeritus conferred March 26, 2025: Anna Ortiz-Morfit, Lillian Kimbell, Douglas Faigin. Jose Antonio Vargas is not listed after January 2025; no departure or emeritus resolution was found in the minutes checked.
- Student Trustees: Jonathan Molina Mancio (Emeritus, July 23, 2025); Carson Fajardo first listed July 22, 2025; Jazmin Guajardo last listed May 6, 2026 (Emerita item on the September 23, 2026 agenda).
- Faculty Trustee Darlene Yee-Melichar last listed May 6, 2026; Faculty Trustee Emerita conferred July 22, 2026.
- Jean Picker Firstenberg and Christopher Steinhauser: terms ended May 1, 2026 per a May 2026 agenda footnote; emerita and emeritus actions followed.
- Andrea C. Evans and Jackson Martinez first listed July 21, 2026. Kelly M. Dermody is named in committee assignments from May 2026 but is not on any present list through July 2026. Doug Hendrickson and Kathleen Kelly Janus appear only in the September 2026 committee-assignment amendments, which the minutes have not yet caught up with.
